The delegation was warmly received by Lu Tonghua, Chairman of Treezo Group, and Lu Shanbin, Vice Chairman of Treezo Group, for a strategic bilateral meeting witnessed by industry experts and key project teams.

Prior to the ceremony, the Canadian delegation toured Treezo's corporate showrooms, including the Muben Pavilion. The tour provided a comprehensive overview of Treezo's global strategic footprint and its technological advancements in new materials and manufacturing processes. The Canadian delegates highly commended Treezo's detailed ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) practice data, noting that it demonstrates a robust, full-chain sustainable development capability—spanning from source control to green production. Both parties emphasized a strong alignment in their corporate strategies and core values.

 From Blueprint to Landmark

The Purfeel Mass Timber Building—the first concrete project under this strategic partnership—took center stage at the event. Zhang Lifeng, General Manager of Treezo's Prefabricated Construction Center, delivered a detailed progress report on the project. The building fully utilizes a prefabricated mass timber structural system, leveraging Treezo's extensive expertise in green building materials. The project aims to establish a benchmark facility integrating low-carbon emissions, industrialized construction, and healthy living spaces.

China-Canada Collaboration: Linking the Future

Fu Weizhou, Executive Director of Canada Wood Group China, highlighted that Canada offers world-leading sustainable forest management practices and engineering technologies. Combined with Treezo's low-carbon philosophy and innovative manufacturing, this partnership will deliver safer, more efficient, and ecologically valuable building solutions to the global market.

Michael Loseth, President and CEO of FII, praised Treezo's strategic transformation, stating that the Purfeel Mass Timber Building serves as an exemplary model of China-Canada cooperation in advancing sustainable timber construction. Introducing British Columbia's industrial advantages, Loseth committed to providing ongoing technical support, assisting with demonstration projects, and strengthening industry exchange to drive low-carbon construction forward. Pierre-Jonathan Teasdale, Director at the Canadian Forest Service, expressed appreciation for Treezo's development path and shared the background of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on mass timber cooperation between China and Canada. He emphasized that Canada remains a reliable partner amid the growing global demand for mass timber, and will continue to support Treezo's continuous innovation in integrated timber applications.

Seizing Market Opportunities for Long-Term Growth

Chairman Lu Tonghua emphasized the vast potential of prefabricated mass timber structures in China, particularly in the rural self-built housing market, which is undergoing a historic upgrade from "basic housing" to "premium living." By promoting modern timber construction as a core technology—backed by its unique advantages in low-carbon footprints, seismic resilience, and rapid installation—Treezo is set to secure a powerful competitive edge and unlock a new "blue ocean" market.

A Powerful Alliance: Officializing the Partnership

In a formal and collaborative atmosphere, Vice Chairman Lu Shanbin and Executive Director Fu Weizhou officially signed the strategic cooperation agreement on behalf of their respective organizations. Chairman Lu Tonghua, CEO Michael Loseth, and Director Pierre-Jonathan Teasdale joined them on stage to witness the signing and exchange handshakes.

Technical Integration: Pafilun Embarks on Its Journey

Following the ceremony, the delegates visited the construction site of the Purfeel Mass Timber Building for an on-site technical seminar focusing on modern timber connections and construction details.
